Attention Juniors! Don’t forget to sell Prize calendars. Any money and entry forms can be turned into Mr. Sullivan or Mr. Merrifield whenever you have any sold. Calendars can be sold until October 30th!

  • Zac Morel finished 5th out of 50 cross country runners to win a medal at the Plymouth Invite. Following Zac were Dustin Sewall in 41st, Jake Lundberg in 43rd, Sean Coleman in 45th, and Jake Morel in 47th. Vee Santry finished 22nd out of 78 runners to win a medal as well. She was followed by Nicole Stevens, Katie Dorey, Jess Yeaton, Kelly Meagan, and Jen Greene.
  • Varsity field hockey defeated White Mts. 9-1, with the JVs winning 2-0. Varsity finished 2nd and will host a game at 2pm on Sunday.
  • Varsity soccer defeated Farmington 5-0, with the JVs beating Newport 1-0.
  • Varsity football defeated Franklin 14-6.

Would all members of the volleyball teams please meet with Mr. Cofran at 3pm in the cafeteria for about 10 minutes today.

Attention cast and crew of Play It Again, Sam: Today’s senior play rehearsal has been changed to 3 to 5 pm.  Please meet on the stage immediately at the end of school today.

Come and have a horrific time at Morbid Mountain!  This field trip is tomorrow, Friday, from 5:30 till 9.  Permission slips can be picked up outside the main office or in room 106.  The cost is just $5 and dinner will be provided.  See Mr. Carbee if you have any questions.

Next Tuesday, October 13th, there will be a casting call for the independent film production of The Birds of Nevermore. It will take place at the TTCC Teen Night from 3:15—5pm. Any questions, please see Eli Redcloud-Owen.

There will be a Math Team practice on Thursday Oct. 8 at 7:30 AM in Room 116. Please bring permission forms.

Envirothon Teams—Reminder: Soil Competition is tomorrow. Departure is 6:45am. Please submit field trip permission slips today.

Seniors—two reminders: college overview is tonight at 6:30pm in the LMC, and senior photo day at Profile Falls is tomorrow. Don’t forget your permission slip for Profile Falls!

  • Varsity field hockey defeated Littleton, 6-0.
  • The Newfound boys cross country team finished 7 out of 18 teams yesterday at the Belmont Invite. They were led by Zac Morel who finished 6th out of 123 runners. The girls finished 8th out of 10 teams. They were led by Vee Santry, followed by Nicole Stevens, Katie Dorey, Jess Yeaton, Kelly Meegan, and Jen Greene. Next meet is this Friday at Plymouth.

  • Varsity volleyball defeated Hillsboro, 3 games to none (25-18, 25-17, 25-13)
    JV volleyball also were victorious, 3 games to none (25-11, 25-15. 15-13)
  • Varsity field hockey lost to Berlin, 3-2, in overtime while the JVs tied Berlin, 0-0.
  • Football lost to Winnisquam, 20-0.

Mrs. Cunningham will be offering a 30-40 minute SAT prep today after school. Drop in if you are available.

Project Promise is offering after-school clubs like Ultimate Frisbee, ski and snowboard, a dodgeball league, film viewing, and many others! If you are interested, please fill out a survey during your lunch period today!

First, come see our Field Hockey team, presently number 2 in class M/S, who will be playing number 1 Berlin at 11:30am, and then head to Winnisquam for football, where our undefeated Bears will be playing their undefeated Bears in a battle of the top 2 teams in division 6.  Game time is 2:30pm.

Join the Tech Crew!

The Bristol police explorers are having a meeting at 5:00pm tonight at the Bristol police station. Please let Ben Huckins or Joe Caputo know by the end of the day if you would like to attend.

Tech Crew will be meeting on Thursday afternoon from 3 to 5pm to start building the set for the senior play. All members are asked to be there. New members are most welcome—just come.

Yearbook staff: There will be an important yearbook meeting today at 3:00pm with our Jostens rep. Please plan on attending.

  • Football defeated Fall Mountain, 35-7.
  • Varsity volleyball defeated Mascoma, 25-9, 25-22 and 25-13.
  • JV volleyball was victorious, 25-7, 18-25 and 15-5.
  • Varsity soccer lost to Mascoma, 2-0, while the JVs also lost, 1-0.
  • In Cross Country, Zac Morel led the boys at the Manchester Invite, followed by Jake Lundberg, Dustin Sewall, Riley Smith, Jake Morel and Mike Bruning. Matt Haskell ran in the JV race and ran 24:24.

    Vee Santry led the girls at the Manchester Invite, followed by Katie Dorey, Jess Yeaton, Kelly Meegan and Jen Greene. The girls finished 21st out of 27 teams. Nicole Stevens ran 15:54 in the freshman race. Great effort Ladies!

JV football will be dismissed at 1:45 today.

Volleyball does not get dismissed early today.

National Honor Society candidates: The deadline for submission of candidate surveys is today at 3pm. Please submit your survey to Mr. Gilman’s mailbox in the main office.

Sophomores & Juniors there will be PSAT sign-up today during lunches. The test is Oct. 17th from 8 to 11:30am. The cost is $15, and the deadline to sign up is Oct. 8th, and pre-registration is required. Please see your counselor if you have questions or concerns.

All seniors must meet with their counselors to discuss plans after high school no later than Sept. 30th. Please make an appointment.

Attention Faculty & Staff: Books are fun are in the upstairs teachers’ room. Delivery date is next Tuesday the 29th.

Reminder: The outside picnic area will be closed until further notice.

Students who haven’t turned in your medical & updated forms, please do so ASAP.

Any 9th or 10th grade student who has not completed both the reading and the math computerized test needs to come to guidance now.
